Ok I have to admit I’m getting stoopid butterflies over x-rays!! WHY??????
Was gonna eat but changed my mind. Don’t need food particles floating around in the x-rays. LOL!
Deep breaths…… I’ll be FINE!
4pm
Just got back but it really didn’t take an hour. It took from walking through the door to exiting, literally 15 mins. I walked in, the lady asked for my referral slip and medicare card. Then said, have a seat. But then the lady behind her said, no go straight through into the room.
She asked me to take off my earring and necklace (5 earings, 3 in one ear, 2 in the other). And a stubborn lobster claw necklace. After that she had me stand in front of the x-ray machine, place my chin on the spot and then bite on this little pole thingie which slides up and down to adjust for chin height or whatever. Well, I don’t think she was paying to close attention because while I was biting down on the little rod thingie, she was also pushing it down and it was putting heaps of pressure on my lower teeth. I pulled away and said OMG you were pushing down and my bottom teeth are loose, please don’t push down on the rod. She said, you gotta put your chin down. I said I will just don’t be pushing down. My teeth are sensitive. It took roughly about 3 minutes to get situated and then these bars closed in on my head to stop me from moving. Then the machine went around my head. She said ok, your done, you can go back out in the waiting room for the film.
Sitting out there, I was trying to get my earrings back on and my necklace. I think I had 3 earrings in and my x-rays were done and ready! I thought OMG that was fast!! I think THEY waited for ME! LOL!
All was good and fine…. next step is next Tuesday… the 2nd consultation. This is what’s gonna frighten me. Going through that again. Also check back on this post as I’m gonna post a picture of my full-mouth x-ray.
Ok Editing to add the picture of my 45 year old teeth! Ick! As you can clearly see broken molars and some old fillings.
