Not what was expected

My 3rd appointment was generally suppose to be a half hour procedure with just prepping my bottom gums with titanium implant posts. Just two. As it turns out I didn’t have enough bone on one side so I had, what would initially be called, an emergency bone grafting done.

The implant on my right side was done successfully and I can feel stitches on the other side of my lower jaw. I’m in a slight amount of pain but nothing that makes me squirm. Advil takes the pain away. I’m sensitive to touch tho so I need to watch out for bumping my jaw.

In a week or so, I have to go back and get another full mouth X-ray done to see how things are progressing since the first set of ugly ones. I don’t think I’ll be so sacred of this now. LOL!!

So as far as the actual appointment. I don’t remember a thing. My sedatives and choice of music put me to sleep within 5 minutes of laying in the chair. I only remember an occasional “open” from Dr. Nirav. And I woke up after all was done…. hiccuping! LOL! I had the hiccups something funny and I don’t know how that happened. From what Lyn says, Dr. Nirav sighed a relief because he had JUST finished with me when the hiccups started.

I was schedule to work this morning but will have to pass and work tonight instead. My job requires me to talk (loudly) which isn’t something I can do right now. But tonight I can switch positions and just do the paperwork side of things. Then the following day I’m on reception with more training. Lyn says my bruising is starting to show more. Oy! Hate to see what I’m gonna be like tomorrow.
