It’s 8am and I’ve been up since about 5:15am. I worked last night and got home about 11pm but stayed awake for a couple of hours. I think I tend to drift off in the chair faster if I’m tired.

My nerves are in an uproar right now and sometimes I think the only way I can calm them down is to write about it. I don’t know why I’m so nervous. I seem to be a lot more nervous then I was last week. I think it’s because last week I was hit with the fact that I was only going to have impressions done. I didn’t know this until I sat in the dental chair and only after having taken 2 sedatives (which I really didn’t need both). And now this week, in 3 hours I’ll be having the real thing done.

I also made the mistake of watching a youtube video of how implants are inserted. It wasn’t a graphic one. It was animated through a dental company so no blood and stuff. I found it rather interesting but knowing I’m having 5 or 6 put in kinda freaks me out now.

After my shower I’ll be taking a before picture of my current “smile”. As you’ll be able to see, my top bridge is clunky and seems to look like they’re just hanging there. I think they’re rather low and since I can’t actually feel anything I bit into, my tops tend to push the food off the fork. So annoying! After which, I’ll take another picture. Mind you I’ll be swollen and probably bruised but I’ll take another as the weeks progress and my gums settle from surgery.

OH I also wanted to mention that Dr. Nirav (hearsay from Lyn) said my gums were looking really good and healthy! I”m so psyched about that bit! After remembering what the first dentist had said, I’m so relieved.

So I reckon I’ll be super sore after today is done. Wondering if I’ll get black eyes or not. We’ll see.

I still can’t believe I’ve done this. I can’t believe how much I’ve gone through all ready. I still have a ways to go yet and think I should be finished by Christmas or end of the year sometime. I can’t wait….
