This day had finally arrived! It’s pushing 8pm and I’ve been awake now for about an hour from the sedatives and feeling a little more in control then when I woke up for some lunch.

The process was actually quite simply and easy and I”m pretty sure I didn’t sleep at all during the procedure. Just extremely relaxed. I had taken the 2 oral sedatives but passed on the nitrous because I just care for the smell of the rubber tubing. Makes me feel nauseous.

Everyone was in the room, Me laying on the chair, Lyn sitting in her chair, Dr. Nirav walking around with a cuppa in his hand and what sounded like 2 assistants. Each one telling me to relax and just go to sleep. I got my headset on, listening to my mellow stuff that puts me to sleep and all I could hear were voices and giggles and laughing… so I sat up and said… hush. I’m trying to sleep here? LOL!

Ok, so I lay back down, I get a few injections on the bottom jaw, righthand side. Then another injection up at the top,near where I thought he would be filing the tooth down. Then out came the mechanism that pulls off the temporary bridge. Couple of good whacks and it’s off. Next came the yanking of the tooth up at the top. OK, so it wasn’t getting filed down. Only pulled out. A nusiance tooth. Get rid of it! LOL… it’s what’s been causeing me to bite my inner lip anyway.

Then bits and pieces of prepping the crowns, some drill sounds, water squirts, test runs on fitting etc. It was all rather painless and simple and easy. But that’s to be expected with my bottoms. My tops will be a little more harder to handle because that’s where my gag reflex tends to live and hide.

As far as the tooth pulling… I heard it rip out and funnily enough I though he was ripping off my top bridge. LOL!! So I guess I didn’t feel it. I tasted a little blood but that’s it.

So now…. no eating on my right side until the gap heals for a couple of days. Next Tuesday I go back for my top bridge removed and the second stage implants get inserted. Heal time…. Impressions AGAIN… and then wait for the lab to return with my permanent uppers.

I’M ALMOST DONE! SO SO SO THERE! I can’t smell the steak at Hog’s Breath taunting me! The commercials have become more frequent! I’m sleeping with a bib on!
