I’ts 6:45pm and I’ve been home from the Dentist since about 10:30am. It went well.

The Ativan kicked in by 8:30 but I felt awake throughout the whole thing. I had my whole upper jaw numbed because my implants needed to be exposed in order to install the posts. Then, out came the tray of goop. I was well prepared to take the tray but the minute the tray went in, I started gagging, so the tray was put aside and it wasn’t gonna get done today. I felt bad but I just wasn’t “under” enough for them to do it.

The whole appointment was pretty easy and then out came Lyn’s camera. She took a shot of what my posts look like sticking out of my gums. LOL… Anyway, the top temporary bridge had to be modified to fit back on my mouth. It’s quite hideous if I smile and feels very weird as well. Think I might find myself going back to have something done because my lips keep catching on the edges.

Here’s a photo…. My whole top bridge had to be cut away to make room for the protruding implants. Just thankful it doesn’t show while I talk but only when I smile. So no smiling much for me. I have 6 up top but 3 are visible.

So that’s where I’m at currently. Not a pretty site right now. We did talk about my lower teeth but at this moment in time. I coulnd’t tell you much, my memory is slowly getting wiped out from today. Ativan’s will do that to you.

Ok, so nothing more to be done until after the holidays now. New teeth for a new year then. None for xmas. Oh well, wasn’t expecing much for xmas anyway.
