And I got to see them today!  Ok, so the story goes….

After I had posted my last blog, I got ready for my interview. I was just getting out of the shower and my phone was ringing so I checked the caller and it read “The Dentists”. Dripping wet hands and wet hair I answered. Someone who I have rarely talked with there said that the lab work was in and she scheduled me in for today to go and have a chat with Dr. Nirav and see if they were good, or more so, if I approved. Dr. Nirav was quite pleased with them.

Today we woke at 7, and then headed into the office. Chatted it up with Kristy and Stephanie and she said that 2 hours after she had called me, they had come in. Dr. Nirav poked his head through his door and in we went!

O.M.G.! They are awesome!! They are made of Zirconia and ceramic, there is no metal what-so-ever in them. So here’s how it’s gonna play out….

Because I had the interview yesterday, we were told we’d get a call today to be on the shortlist. And if I get called for the shortlist, then another longer more detailed interview would be set up and then someone would definitely know by this Friday. So trying to fit an appointment in is tricky. IF I don’t get a call today, I’ll be going in this Thursday, if I DO get a call, I’ll be going in next Tuesday.

When I go in, he needs to make sure they fit right and that the gum line isn’t too exposed when I smile. An easy fix if there’s too much gum line but they’d have to go back to Sydney. If they are fine, then I will wear them for as long as I need to to get comfortable with them and then the permanent cement will be done. So they will only go on with temporary glue until I make sure they sit and feel right and that my bite is ok. If Dr. Nirav doesn’t like the way they look when he puts them in, he will put another set of temporaries in (already made) and then ship the perms back to be adjusted again.

So there it is!!!  And here’s a picture of them currently. I’ll be taking a photo of my current temporary smile and then one after. I’m so excited!! They look really nice!!
