The Magic Wand

Tomorrow is the day for getting an impression but not with the tray. As I previously posted, no more goop and gagging on a tray. That’s just too much for this head of mine. Usually that consists of sedation and lots of Novocain injections so I don’t feel the tray and it’s just too much.

I’m really hoping this new technology of the “wand” will make it much easier. My dentist suspects I may still gag but talking to people on the Dental Fear Central forum says it feels smaller in the mouth than it actually looks. I dunno… I have a pretty small mouth.

Am I nervous? Well, not at the moment. My AA (Anticipatory Anxiety) is at about a 1 right now. Tomorrow morning tho… will be a whole different story.

My intention, down the road, is to show some comparisons. I have my 2014 photo of my bottoms, I’ll be taking a photo of what they look like now and when the final job is completed.

So, until tomorrow, if and when I can type (sedation errors!), I’ll post with how that appointment went.

Just found this video… It made me tear up (happily) because of what he said (I’m such a sook!) …. The scanner can be removed so the patient can swallow and the scanner knows exactly what’s already been done. Dr. Nirav can basically pick up where he left off.
