It’s Tuesday. My appointment is Friday morning. My body is already starting to feel the affects of my nerves. Loss of appetite, the slight nervous sensation that overtakes me for a moment when I think about it coming up.

I thought that I would only take Friday off from work, obviously due to sedation, and then the following Monday but I’m thinking now that I’m just going to take the full week off after and just try to destress and heal.

I am a customer service specialist so I’m tethered to headphones answering incoming calls from clients all day. I highly doubt I’ll be able to full talk for at least 5 or 6 days. I don’t want to stress worrying if I can “go to work” the next day and constantly calling in and getting a med cert. I’ll just have Dr. Nirav provide a med cert for the following week. Make my life much easier!

My bottom gumline is a bit sore today. Mostly caused by my brushing too hard. I’m also surprised I wasn’t put on any antibiotics before this is being done. Usually puts me on them before surgery. He said not this time. I’m still trying to figure out exactly what’s going to happen in this appointment. I am certain he’ll be removing most of what’s left, including the two current implants in the front. I have 2 filed down teeth on my left and I think just one on my right. He’ll have to keep something in to anchor the bridge with. But…. is he just removing them or removing and grafting? Cuz I can’t see him grafting without removing everything first. I dunno. Leave it to the expert, yeah?

May or may not post the day before. I’m not sure. I’m not even sure how many Ativan’s I’ll be taking. 1 or 2? I took a full one for dental impression and that really knocked me out for a 10 min appt. This appt, I was told, would be a 3 hour session. Anyway. We’ll see. Maybe 1 and half? I won’t do the Nitrous cuz for some reason I could “smell” it. Maybe it was the smell of the plastic that goes over your nose but I could smell something and it turned my stomach. I also had an experience with Ativan and Nitrous and my wife said they had trouble waking me up. So No Nitrous! I don’t want it. Pain isn’t an issue, it’s the gagging.
